5 Things I Do To Extend Lash Extensions Retention

by LashviewClaire on 0 Comments

Here, the five tips I’ve learned through the years that help me keep my extensions intact and looking good for a long time (I’m talking 2-3 months):

1. Rest on your again.
This might sound like a crazy request (if you don’t already sleep on your back), but it’s important directly following the application since the glue requires a while to dry fully and you will otherwise get weird kinks. Following an evening or two, job application your normal sleeping position.

2. Give your lashes just a little – OK, a whole lot – of TLC.
When removing your eye makeup (liner, shadow, etc.), gently go over the region with a cleansing clean instead of putting cotton pads or puffs over your lids – not only would you eventually weaken the extensions and chats them up, the cotton materials get stuck on lashes (not attractive).

3. Lube them up.
You might think maintaining your lash extensions dry makes sense, but they actually stay nicer, longer, when they’re oiled up (this can help keep them flexible).

4. Comb them out.
To prevent any crisscrossing or wonky-looking lashes, use a spoolie wand. Close one eyeball, place the spoolie on top of your lashes, then spin the brush over lashes to keep them described.

5. Resist playing with them.
Your eyelashes shed naturally, so when you yourself have extensions, this can help push them off. If an extension appears out of place, avoid using it or twisting or tugging it off – you’ll risk losing your natural lashes. Let them turn out on their own, and use a spoolie to brush them back to place for the time being.
